My work uses the integration of Mexican religious traditions and upbringings while addressing the complicated traumas associated with coming to consciousness of the world. My practice is attempting to capture the innocence of childhood through nostalgia, infusions of cherished memories, and the building of a more whimsical world. Through my practice, I try to affirm my sense of identity and bring more positive associations to memories I choose to cherish.
